Senior Lecturer of St. Petersburg Russia be an examiner in the examination of the Philosophy of Religion Student
Friday, August 25th, 2023, Master of Philosophy of Religion Study Program Postgraduate UIN Raden Intan Lampung held an examination by presenting a Visiting Lecturer from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, St. Petersburg Russia; Prof. Dr. Irina Katkova.
The thesis is entitled;
”Development of Islamic Philosophy Literature in Indonesia in the Perspective of Postmodernism” by Fajri Habibi, with Examiners from UIN Raden Intan Lampung namely; Prof. Dr. Ruslan Abdul Ghofur (Director of Postgraduate UIN RIL) as the chief examiner accompanied by Dr. Shonhaji, M.Ag, Prof. Dr. Sudarman M.Ag, and Dr. Hj. Siti Badi’ah, S.Ag., M.Ag as Head of Study Program and Dr. Budimansyah, S.TH.I M.Kom.I as the Secretary of Study Program.
Fajri Habibi conveyed the contents of his thesis to the examiners regarding the development of Islamic Philosophy Literature in Indonesia in a postmodern perspective based on the thoughts of Prof. M. Amin Abdullah who is an Indonesian Muslim scientist, philosopher, hermeneutic expert and scholar.
Several questions from the examiners why they chose Prof. M Amin Abdullah, Habibi answered his speech by raising local Indonesian figures, because they are closer to the character of Indonesian Muslims with their cultural diversity.
The examination was closed by synchronizing the results of the open examination of Fajri Habibi’s thesis getting an A. Before closing the session, Prof. Ruslan Abdul Ghofur hopes that the birth of a master of Islamic Philosophy today can regenerate the birth of Muslim Philosophers in Indonesia, also Director of Postgraduate advised students whose thesis is being tested so that they are not quickly satisfied with the knowledge they have achieved, by continuing their studies to a higher level.
